I'm 16 and a year ago I had an abortion, My boyfriend at the time froze himself out the picture. My mum found out and told me there was only one way in 'solving' the 'problem' having an abortion. I fought against it, but I had no support. I went ahead and for 2 weeks afterwards nothing sunk in. Soon after my boyfriend couldn't deal with my mood swings and decided to break up with me over the phone. He to this day refuses to talk about anything, so I was left in the dark about everything, how to feel, how I was meant to cope.. everything. At such a young age, I went through to counseling for 4 months & stopped going because I wanted to cope on my own. I have PTSD and PASS the doctor explained to me that I was depressive and that I needed some support.
Anyway, a year on & I still have flash backs, odd feelings and subjects I wont talk about it. I have a box full of baby things that I bought at the time. I keep looking online about stress after an abortion but I can never bring myself round to getting any help? I dont even know whats wrong with me... I just would like someone to talk to.

What you are feeling, honey, is not unusual at all....awful, but very common. \h

I would really recommend registering so you can read and post on the main boards (this board is only seen by guests, admins and moderaters). I think you will find many you can identify with there; and it's a wonderfully helpful and compassionate place. No one is ever judged and most everyone understands.....truly kind people.

It can and will get better, dear. Peace. ~b

I hope that you will create an account and join the boards - we have members who have had abortions at a similar age, ones who will share similar experiences of coersion, but many many who will relate to the feelings that you're experiencing.

    Welcome :)

I too hope you will create an account and join us here on the main boards. Talking about things helps, especially when things get really bad and these boards are a very safe place for you to do that. And we will support you also. :)
